At least seven individuals sustained injuries in an explosion that targeted a train on Sunday morning in Pakistan. The incident occurred near Chaman Phatak along a railway track in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. The train was en route to the city’s cantonment area when the explosion occurred.

The injured victims were promptly transported to a local health facility, where an emergency response was activated. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack as of yet. Following the explosion, the train derailed, prompting the dispatch of ambulances and security personnel to the scene by authorities.

The blast not only caused the train derailment but also inflicted damage on nearby structures, shattering windows and glass panes. Law enforcement teams have secured the area, while ongoing rescue efforts are in progress. The Special Assistant for Home Affairs in Balochistan stated that officials are currently gathering information regarding the incident and will provide further updates when available.
