Erling Haaland has set a new record in the Premier League by becoming the quickest player to score 100 goals, surpassing Alan Shearer’s achievement. The Manchester City forward reached this milestone in just 111 games, eclipsing Shearer’s previous record of 124 games. Notable players like Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Thierry Henry took more matches to achieve the same feat.

Pep Guardiola, the City manager, highlighted the significance of Haaland’s accomplishment by breaking Shearer’s record. He praised Shearer’s consistency in scoring goals for top teams and emphasized the dedication and professionalism required to achieve such milestones over multiple seasons. Guardiola remarked that if Haaland maintains his current pace, he could reach the levels of Kane and Shearer in the long run.

Additionally, Sky has announced a discounted price for its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and over 1,400 live matches covering the Premier League, EFL, and more. Sky will broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League matches in the upcoming season, an increase of up to 100 games compared to the previous season.
