The Duchess of Sussex, aged 44, visited Geneva to promote the Lost Screen Memorial, an initiative honoring children affected by social media-related issues. After unveiling the memorial at Geneva’s Place des Nations, she emphasized the importance of safeguarding children online.
Upon heading back to the US, Meghan disclosed that she briefly paused in the UK and received a heartfelt card commemorating her anniversary with Prince Harry. Her journey included a stopover in London on a British Airways flight, BA269, due to the lack of direct flights between the two cities. During the flight, the BA staff presented her with a handwritten anniversary card, expressing warm wishes from the entire British Airways family.
Meghan later took to Instagram to share the card alongside a Union Jack emoji, extending her gratitude to the flight crew for their kindness during the trip. The card, signed by all the BA staffers and adorned with red love hearts, conveyed best wishes to the royal couple for their anniversary celebrations.
Her flight from Heathrow departed slightly behind schedule but managed to arrive in the US on time. This visit to the UK marked her most recent trip since 2024 when she made a stopover during a visit to Nigeria and stayed at the prestigious Windsor Suite in Terminal 5.
Returning just in time for her eighth wedding anniversary with Prince Harry, Meghan commemorated the occasion by sharing new photos from their 2018 wedding ceremony on Instagram. The collection included snapshots of Elton John performing, the couple’s official wedding portraits, and Harry delivering a speech at St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle. Additionally, she posted images of them dancing at the Frogmore House reception. The post was accompanied by the song “Land of 1000 Dances” by Wilson Pickett, the song they danced to at their wedding reception eight years ago.
