“Driver Confesses to Liverpool Parade Ramming – 31 Charges Admitted”

The mugshot of Paul Doyle, the driver involved in the Liverpool parade incident, has been made public. Doyle, aged 54, altered his plea during the second day of his trial, admitting guilt to all 31 charges brought against him. He confessed to driving his vehicle into a crowd celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League title win in the city center on May 26, causing injuries to over 100 pedestrians, including infants and children.

In court today, Doyle confessed to charges including dangerous driving, affray, 17 counts of attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, nine charges of causing GBH with intent, and three counts of wounding with intent. Emotional in the dock, he quietly pleaded guilty to all charges, which involve individuals ranging from six months to 77 years old.

The incident occurred on May 26 when thousands of Liverpool supporters gathered in the city for the victory parade, commencing at 2:30 pm. Doyle drove his Ford Galaxy Titanium into the crowd on Water Street just after 6 pm, leading to his immediate arrest and subsequent charges. Over 130 individuals reported injuries due to the car-ramming incident.
