Initial reports suggest that a Subaru Impreza traveling southbound collided with a Nissan Qashqai driven by the woman from Gleneagle, which was carrying the child airlifted to the hospital. The Subaru driver, a 52-year-old man from Beaudesert, was also involved in the incident.
The Mount Lindesay Highway, a vital roadway in Australia’s national highway network connecting Brisbane to New South Wales, was temporarily closed in both directions at the crash site.
