A man, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, aged 45, faces three murder charges after his wife and two daughters were found dead in Bedfordshire. The victims, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, known as Zandile, along with daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were discovered at a residence in Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham.
Tshuma, a British national of Zimbabwean descent, also known as Mark, was apprehended in Kensington, Johannesburg, and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has approved the murder charges against him. Bedfordshire Police reported that Tshuma is in custody and efforts are underway to repatriate him to the UK.
The South African Police Service stated that Tshuma was swiftly located and arrested with the help of coordinated operations and intelligence-led policing. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for further proceedings.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin from Bedfordshire Police commended the collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies like the National Crime Agency, Interpol, and authorities in Zimbabwe and South Africa. The investigation is ongoing, with a focus on bringing Tshuma back to the UK for questioning.
