A British tourist was discovered deceased in Mallorca, sparking a police inquiry after being found with glass lodged in his head. The 26-year-old’s lifeless body was located in a rented residence in Santa Margalida, situated in the island’s northern region, this morning around 7:30 am, with glass fragments from a door embedded in his head.

Authorities have interviewed multiple individuals at the property, including four men and two women. A spokesperson for the Civil Guard confirmed the deceased individual’s nationality as a 26-year-old British citizen. The fatal incident took place at a rented property in Santa Margalida, with investigations ongoing and limited details available at this stage.

A reliable police source indicated a focus on the hypothesis that the victim succumbed to a tragic accident by striking his head against the glass door, though definitive conclusions remain premature. No arrests have been made, and the identities of the other individuals at the property have not been disclosed.

An autopsy is scheduled to occur shortly in Palma, the capital of Mallorca, with the Civil Guard leading the ongoing investigation. Santa Margalida, a historic agricultural town in Majorca’s northern region, is in proximity to attractions like the Bay of Alcudia and approximately 30 miles away from Palma Airport.

This incident follows another tragedy where a missing British man was discovered deceased on a Costa del Sol beach. After nearly three days of search efforts by authorities, the body of the 25-year-old was found on Huelin Beach, adjacent to Misericordia Beach in Malaga, where he was last seen entering the sea.

Confirmation from police sources revealed the deceased individual’s British nationality. The circumstances of his death, whether by drowning or other causes, remain unclear pending autopsy results, which will be presented to a local court magistrate. Spain’s National Police spokesperson stated that the man’s demise is not under suspicion, emphasizing no indications of criminal involvement in the case.
