A British national tragically lost his life after being struck by three vehicles in a motorcycle accident. Craig Davies, aged 50 and originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, met with the fatal crash in Chiang Mai, Thailand, around 12:20 am local time.
The incident occurred when Davies lost control of his KTM 1290 Super Duke near an underpass on the Chiang Mai-Lampang Highway, causing him to fall off his motorcycle and subsequently get hit by three passing cars. Regrettably, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Adulsiri Wongtankard of the Mae Ping Police Station described the accident as “highly distressing,” expressing sympathy for the victim’s family and noting the shock experienced by witnesses.
The British Embassy in Bangkok has been informed about the details of the accident and the victim’s identity. Reports indicate that Davies resided in Thailand and operated a business in the health supplies sector. Heartfelt messages honoring his memory have flooded in for the deceased businessman.
One of Davies’ friends, Aomkhwan Pronpan, paid tribute, saying: “Thank you for always being there for me. You are like a brother to me. May you have a peaceful journey. Rest in peace.”
