Police are on the lookout for a British man in connection with the suspected homicide of a Colombian model whose body was discovered inside a suitcase. Natalia Villalba Angarita, aged 36, was found deceased in a suitcase in a rented apartment in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia.
Cleaning staff found the victim’s remains in the bathroom of the seventh-floor apartment after the rental period ended. Among the belongings recovered were two passports belonging to Natalia, one expired and the other showing recent travel to Spain.
Authorities are investigating the case as a potential deliberate killing and are analyzing fingerprint and trace evidence for clues. A post-mortem examination is underway to determine the exact cause and time of death.
The apartment was rented from June 3 and the lease was extended until June 21. A US citizen from Texas was present during the initial part of Natalia’s stay, and later a British national was seen entering and leaving the property on specific dates.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, building entry logs, and other security recordings to track the movements of the two foreign men involved in the ongoing inquiry. Both the American and British nationals are currently being sought by law enforcement, with no arrests made yet.
The Mirror has reached out to the Colombian National Police and the Foreign Office for comments on the matter.
