A young British lifeguard had a harrowing experience while on a trip to the United States, where she fell from a third-floor window in Connecticut without any recollection of the incident. Olivia Robinson had embarked on a solo travel adventure to Hawaii in May 2026 before taking on a lifeguard job in Connecticut.
The 20-year-old athlete spent time with friends on July 4 before returning to her Airbnb for the night. Her next memory was waking up in a hospital, learning that she had fallen three stories from a window and sustained severe injuries, including a shattered pelvis, right thighbone, wrist, and bladder damage. Currently, Olivia is awaiting surgery for her pelvis and thighbone femur, prompting her sister, Megan Davis, to launch a GoFundMe campaign to assist with their parents’ travel expenses to be by Olivia’s side.
Expressing shock at Olivia’s survival given the extent of her injuries, Megan emphasized the challenging situation Olivia is facing alone. She described Olivia as being mostly unconscious with no memory of the incident, causing immense distress to her loved ones. Olivia’s family is eager to be with her during this difficult time, especially as an investigation is underway to uncover the events leading to the fall.
Olivia’s brother, Kieran, highlighted her passion for sports, particularly swimming and triathlons, and praised her resilience in coping with the trauma of the accident. With the family rallying around Olivia, Megan continues her fundraising efforts to facilitate her parents’ journey to support Olivia.
Megan expressed feelings of helplessness and a strong desire to be with her sister, emphasizing the emotional toll of not being able to provide immediate physical support. The family is united in their wish to be together during Olivia’s recovery journey, navigating the challenges of international travel and accommodation expenses to ensure Olivia receives the care and comfort she needs.
