The daughter of a missing British former property developer expressed deep concern after he went missing during a vacation in Costa del Sol. Clifford Wildgoose, 76, was last spotted at Patrick’s 19th Hole Bar in the upscale resort of Puerto Banus near Marbella around 2 am on Saturday. He was set to catch a flight to Manchester later that morning with a friend who had been holidaying with him in Spain.
Melanie Hall, Mr. Wildgoose’s daughter, revealed that he was nowhere to be found at Malaga Airport, leading the family to grow increasingly anxious for his safety. A £7 transaction was recorded on his bank card at a nearby supermarket shortly after he was last seen, along with some small purchases. The police have been notified and are believed to be looking into the transactions.
Ms. Hall expressed uncertainty about the purchases, questioning whether they were made by her father or by someone else who may have come into possession of his wallet under concerning circumstances. She mentioned that her father, who has had a knee replacement and other health issues, is not very stable on his feet.
Mr. Wildgoose, a father of five daughters, originally hails from Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, and currently resides in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Ms. Hall mentioned that he had left his phone and passport in his friend’s apartment in La Cala de Mijas, as he was unfamiliar with the address. She described her father as a sociable and well-liked individual, emphasizing his extensive travel experiences and business background.
The family took to social media to raise awareness about Mr. Wildgoose’s disappearance, sharing details and urging anyone with information to come forward. Ms. Hall emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that her father was not in the best health when he vanished.
