Britain is preparing for another round of early summer warmth in the coming days, according to forecasters. Weather maps indicate that temperatures will rise to 26C in parts of southern and eastern England, with 14 counties expected to experience the hottest conditions. A new forecast shows high pressure forming across much of the UK by June 15, leading to calm weather and sunny skies in many regions.
Typically, temperatures in early June in the UK rarely surpass 20C. However, with high pressure persisting outside the UK after causing record-breaking heat in May, meteorologists anticipate a similar pattern for June. The latest projections for June suggest that the warmest air will be centered in the South East of England, East Anglia, and parts of the Midlands, while Scotland and Northern Ireland will be slightly cooler.
Temperature projections from WXCharts indicate highs ranging from 22C to 24C extending from the Midlands to eastern England. Some areas in the South East, including Greater London, could reach temperatures of 25C or even 26C, making them the hottest parts of the country. The Met Office’s mid-range forecast suggests that higher pressure and settled conditions are likely to prevail, particularly in the south. Multiple locations in these counties are expected to experience temperatures between 24C and 26C, with little to no rain forecasted for many areas.
The counties set to experience this warm spell include Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire.
