A tragic incident unfolded as a young beauty queen lost her life in a heartbreaking accident involving her own car while unloading belongings during winter, an official investigation revealed today.
The victim, identified as Eleisha Skinner, a 21-year-old student at Buckinghamshire New University, tragically met her demise when her black Audi A1 rolled back unexpectedly as she was unloading it at her High Wycombe residence on January 4 following the Christmas break. Despite efforts from a resident who heard alarming sounds and rushed to help, Ms. Skinner was found unconscious, pinned against a wall outside the accommodation.
Authorities reported that the driveway where the accident occurred was icy and slippery due to winter weather conditions, leading to the tragic incident. Despite professional assessments stating the safety of the property, concerns were raised regarding the lack of safety measures such as barriers or railings in place to prevent such accidents.
Following the unfortunate event, a coroner issued a report urging the property owners, Howarth Property, to take necessary actions to prevent similar incidents in the future. The coroner highlighted the need for improved safety measures to avoid potential tragedies.
Medical findings indicated that Ms. Skinner passed away due to anoxic brain injury caused by asphyxia compression, stemming from the pressure that hindered her ability to breathe properly. In a heartfelt tribute, her family remembered her as a kind-hearted and selfless individual who brightened the lives of those around her.
Buckinghamshire New University announced posthumously awarding Ms. Skinner a BSc degree with honors in social work, honoring her memory and dedication to her studies.
