Actor Hannah Einbinder has taken to social media to redirect focus to the situation in Gaza, urging attention away from the recent attention on her arrest during a protest outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s UN speech. Einbinder emphasized the ongoing conflict in Gaza and Southern Lebanon and criticized the U.S. for its support of Israel.

Einbinder, along with actors Susan Sarandon and others, was among over 100 protesters detained in New York City during Netanyahu’s address to the UN General Assembly. The protest, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, aimed to raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians in the region.

Photos showed Sarandon, Einbinder, and others being taken into custody by police. The demonstration highlighted calls to end the conflict and stop arming Israel. Einbinder’s message was echoed by Canadian actor Elliot Page, who also participated in the protest.

International organizations such as Amnesty International and a UN inquiry have raised concerns over Israel’s actions in Gaza, labeling them as genocidal. However, Netanyahu has denied these allegations, stating that Israel’s military operations target Hamas and aim to prevent civilian casualties.

Netanyahu’s speech at the UN was met with criticism and opposition, leading to some delegates walking out. The ongoing conflict in the region has sparked global debate, with the U.S. standing firm in its support for Israel. Reports of aid denial and accusations of ethnic cleansing have further fueled international condemnation of Israel’s actions.

As tensions continue to escalate, the world watches closely, with calls for peace and humanitarian aid prevailing amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
