Apple is gearing up to unveil its newest line of iPhones next month at its customary autumn event in Cupertino, California. If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, the latest devices should be introduced within the next six weeks.

While Apple has not officially confirmed anything yet, looking back at past events gives a good indication of when the big reveal might happen. The last three iPhone launches all occurred in early September.

Based on the 2026 calendar, it is likely that the iPhone 18 series could be showcased to the world on September 8th, 9th, or 10th.

Although the launch date this year may align with previous years, there could be two significant departures from tradition. Firstly, speculations suggest that the standard iPhone 18, replacing the current iPhone 17, may not make an appearance at the Cupertino event. Some experts believe that those interested in this model may have to wait until spring 2027, a departure from the norm as these non-Pro devices are popular worldwide.

The second notable change expected is the introduction of Apple’s first foldable device this year. This flexible device is anticipated to resemble Samsung’s recently unveiled Galaxy Z Fold8, featuring a design reminiscent of a passport. If Apple follows suit, users could enjoy a device with a screen similar to the iPad mini, which can fold to fit into pockets.

Foldable phones are not yet mainstream, but the introduction of an iPhone in this category could potentially change that. Alongside the iPhone Fold, new Pro models may also be unveiled, suggesting the September event may focus more on Apple’s premium offerings.

This upcoming showcase is one that Apple enthusiasts wouldn’t want to miss, possibly just a little over a month away. An official date is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates.
