Police apprehended a suspect following an alleged sexual assault on a woman in her twenties at Brighton Beach last night. The authorities have detained a 28-year-old man in relation to the incident.
A restricted area has been established, and law enforcement officers are present along the shoreline as investigations are ongoing. The section between the 360 Tower and volleyball courts has been sealed off to the public, with officers positioned along the beach.
The victim is currently being supported by specialized officers, while the 28-year-old suspect is being held in custody. Authorities are urging any individuals with information to come forward and assist the detectives.
According to Sussex Police, an investigation is underway concerning the reported rape of a woman in her twenties at Brighton Beach, believed to have occurred overnight from Tuesday, August 4th, to Wednesday, August 5th.
The statement from Sussex Police reads, “The victim is receiving support from specialized officers. A 28-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of rape and is currently in custody.
