A military helicopter carrying three individuals has crashed in Alabama, USA. The incident involving the helicopter from US Army base Fort Rucker occurred near Opp city on Monday, July 28.
Authorities have disclosed that the crew was engaged in routine flight training when the incident transpired. It was confirmed that the chopper was part of an aviation mishap.
Covington County Sheriff, Blake Turman, verified that the helicopter went down in a privately owned field on Cool Springs Road. Fortunately, Sheriff Truman indicated that there were no apparent injuries resulting from the crash.
The occupants of the helicopter, comprising an instructor pilot and two student pilots, are in stable condition. They have been taken to a Dothan hospital for medical assessment.
There have been no reports of injuries to individuals on the ground or any property damage. Although the helicopter is believed to be a UH-72 Lakota, detailed information about the crash remains limited.
