A court trial revealed that a 16-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by a teenage boy at Seaford railway station in East Sussex. The accused teenager, who has admitted to a charge of manslaughter, allegedly carried out the attack without hesitation or verbal warning.

The incident took place on September 10, 2025, when the victim, Joshua Ingram, was approached by the defendant at the station. Witnesses testified that the accused, after confirming the victim’s identity, swiftly drew a knife and made two aggressive attempts at stabbing him before fleeing the scene.

During the trial, a friend of the victim recounted the sequence of events, stating that the attacker displayed a calm demeanor without any visible signs of anger or emotion. The friend, who witnessed the stabbing, expressed shock and confusion over the sudden violent act.

The prosecution alleges that the stabbing was premeditated, stemming from a dispute over an unpaid £20 debt related to cannabis. Snapchat messages presented in court suggest a prior intent to harm the victim if the money was not repaid.

The defense, however, argues that the accused had no intention of causing severe harm and portrays the incriminating messages as exaggerated statements typical of teenage bravado. The trial continues as the court deliberates on the defendant’s culpability in the murder case and other related charges involving conspiracy and aiding an offender.
