McDonald’s Introduces New Sauces and Menu Items

As temperatures rise, so does the excitement over McDonald’s latest offerings. The fast-food giant has launched a range of new sauces, along with two fresh burgers and a returning favorite, creating a guilt-free zone for double dipping.

While the classic Big Mac remains a beloved choice, customers can now explore a whole new taste adventure with the introduction of Hot Honey, Korean BBQ, Ranch, and a spicy mayo to elevate their meal experiences, particularly with chicken nuggets.

Among the new sauces, the Hot Honey, Korean BBQ, and Ranch stand out, promising to add a unique twist to the dining experience. As a self-proclaimed McDonald’s enthusiast, I had the privilege of trying these sauces before their official release to assess their potential to revolutionize your usual McDonald’s order.

While I usually opt for BBQ or sweet curry sauces, the arrival of Korean BBQ piqued my interest with its distinct flavors reminiscent of teriyaki sauce, blending sweet soy, ginger, and garlic elements for a rich umami taste. It offers a refreshing departure from traditional BBQ sauces, presenting a novel take on a classic flavor profile.

The Hot Honey sauce, on the other hand, offers a bold and sweet flavor profile, slightly delayed in joining the hot honey trend but nonetheless a welcomed addition. Its runny and sticky texture necessitates extra napkins, but the sweet and spicy combination delivers a satisfying punch, particularly for hot honey enthusiasts.

The trio of new dips, including the creamy Ranch, cater to various preferences, providing a smooth and flavorful alternative to BBQ or spicy options. The Ranch sauce, an American classic, offers a cool and creamy buttermilk base infused with herb and garlic notes, appealing to those seeking a milder yet enjoyable dip.

In addition to the new sauces, McDonald’s is reintroducing the Cornetto McFlurry after a 17-year hiatus, alongside the launch of the Big Arch with bacon for hearty appetites. Moreover, a new secret menu item, the Hot Honey McFlurry, has emerged, offering a daring yet surprisingly complementary flavor experience that can be accessed exclusively through the McDonald’s app.

As a fan of the ranch sauce, I am delighted by McDonald’s venture into new flavor territories. The diverse range of sauces and menu items will be available in-store and online starting Tuesday, July 14, promising a delightful journey of culinary exploration for McDonald’s patrons.
