Amanda Owen flooded with support as she reveals ‘mad’ job away from Our Yorkshire Farm

Published:

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has announced her brand new job away from TV with two of her children. The mother of nine and TV favourite, 50, shared her rural life on both Our Yorkshire Farm and the spin-off, Our Farm Next Door.

In 2022, fans were shocked when Amanda and husband Clive Owen announced their split as she revealed she didn’t get her ‘happy ending’ after all. They continued to film together despite the separation, yet it seems Amanda is now ready to take on a project of her own.

Amanda, along with son Miles and daughter Edith, were flooded with support as she announced her new venture. The trio had taken on very different roles as they became judges at Harrogate Dog Show over the weekend.

She revealed: “We must be barking mad! The Owen clan (Miles & Edith & myself) judging at Harrogate Dog Show!!!! There was such a great atmosphere, the sun was shining as people and their pets turned out to enjoy showing off their pooches.

“All shapes, sizes and breeds but best of all was hearing about the owner’s relationships with their dogs.” Amanda was praised for the new job as one said: “We loved meeting you! Thank you for your support!”

Another added: “You were so sweet to my daughter! Fab day!” Someone else commented: “Looks like you all had a great time.” A fourth wrote: “Looks a fab day.”

Others praised Amanda’s chic outfit as she looked stunning in a beige midi dress with black tights and a pair of brogues. A fan gushed: “Love your outfit – the dress, the shoes, the black tights and bow – SO country stylish.” Another added: “Love your dress.”

Amanda and Clive came together last year as they starred in More4 series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids. The family renovated a derelict farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales but it came to an emotional end in November.

She has been keeping fans updated on farm life through social media and, last week, Amanda showcased three of her children pitching in. Amanda said: “Some of the farmy army in the pens with the gimmer hoggs (year old female sheep) making them ready to turn back to the moors.”

Adding to the rural narrative, she further posted: “We’re ready to mark up and horn burn with plenty of irons in the fire.” Fans shared their excitement for a new series of the show as one asked: “When is the next part of your series coming out @yorkshireshepherdess? Eagerly awaiting.”

During the last episode, audiences were drawn into Amanda as she mused on the refurbishment of their project. She admitted: “I did feel a bit emotional when I came here today because I have invested so much into this. It has occupied my thoughts for years about how this was going to happen.”

When the series ended in 2024, fans were quick to voice their upset on social media. One fan declared: “Oh no! I hope we can watch more very soon. Absolutely brilliant loved it.”

Someone else commented: “Hope there is another series. Really enjoyed seeing you all again.” Meanwhile, a wave of disappointment hit a Facebook fan group where one user confessed: “Really gutted as was enjoying watching this.”
