Celebrity Big Brother fans call for star to be axed over brutal fat-shaming

Published:

Celebrity Big Brother fans were furious to watch as one former housemate made a few comments about the stars in a “derogatory” manner. After the ITV programme airs, fans usually tune in to Late and Live, where they get the rundown of everything that has been happening on the show.

On the late show, former housemates make appearances to share their thoughts on the stars. Most recently, fans have watched as Tiffany Pollard – who was on the programme in 2016 – has ruffled some feathers with her brutal comments. Tiffany has always been known to make shocking comments but it looks like some think she went too far.

The 43-year-old shocked host Will Best when she called comedian Donna Preston while the panel discussed who they thought could be up for eviction next.

Tiffany blurted out during the conversation: “But she (Donna) knows how to order a cheese pizza!” before she called Donna “plus size”.

Co-host AJ Odudu then said: “So what?” Tiffany said she would keep Donna in the house “because she’s plus sized, she’d know how to order my dinner!”

Will quickly addressed viewers at home and said: “We want her there because she is very funny and I personally think she’s a great housemate.”

Viewers at home were horrified, with one revealing they sent complaints over Tiffany’s comments. “@ITV have no readily accessible option for complaints. Having sought them out I have made a formal complaint about the language that “Tiffany” has used on numerous occasions. Her language has been worse than Micky O’Rourke’s actions in the @bbuk,” one user said.

They also attached a screenshot of the email they sent to ITV, which included her complaints calling Tiffany’s “vocabulary completely inappropriate”. “This is completely unacceptable and she should be removed from the panel and a formal apology made by ITV,” the email read.

One person commented: “It’s really f**king annoying how people will give a pass to downright rude and mean-spirited people because they were “iconic” on a show 9 years ago. Tiffany Pollard is annoying af and trying far too hard.”

“I’m surprised that Tiffany Pollard is still allowed on TV after all the fat shaming she does but perhaps fat shaming is no longer a thing and everyone’s moved in to the latest fad but I just missed it,” posted one confused fan.

Some liked Tiffany and begged producers to keep her in, with one user writing on X: “Can we have Tiffany Pollard permanently on Late & Live she is literally everything.”

“Tiffany being on the panel for a week is a big mistake I think. She’s a #CBBUK legend and I was so excited for her return but now it’s too much,” one conflicted fan added.
