The driver of the car did not appear to see the woman, as they did not slow down before hitting her and then drove away without checking on her well-being. Onlookers came to her aid as she sustained significant injuries.
Emergency services responded to the scene, providing treatment for her serious injuries before transporting her to Heartlands Hospital. West Midlands Police has initiated an investigation to locate the driver and has requested anyone with relevant information to come forward.
According to a statement from the police, the incident occurred before 1:30 pm on Monday, and the woman in her 20s received medical attention from ambulance personnel for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are actively searching for the silver hatchback and its driver.
