In a recent police operation targeting individuals seeking minors online, a 75-year-old man who legally changed his name to Santa Claus was arrested in New Orleans. The man, previously known as George Quigley, was apprehended by Kenner Police after allegedly arranging to meet with someone he believed to be a 15-year-old boy.

Santa Claus, also known as George Quigley, faces charges of solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior. He had discussions with an undercover detective about engaging in sexual activities with the supposed minor and had planned a meeting in Kenner. Upon his arrival at the meeting spot, he was taken into custody by detectives.

This arrest was part of a larger operation by Kenner Police, resulting in the apprehension of 11 individuals. Chief Keith Conley emphasized the dangers posed by such predators and urged parents to be cautious about their children’s online interactions. He highlighted the importance of law enforcement’s vigilance in identifying and apprehending those who exploit children online.

The incident involving Santa Claus serves as a stark reminder of the risks children face on social media and online platforms. Chief Conley reiterated the commitment of investigators to protect children and bring offenders to justice promptly.
