A court was informed today that a man described as a “predatory serial sexual attacker” has been accused of murdering two vulnerable women and raping a third within an eight-month period.
Simon Levy, aged 40 and partially blind, allegedly targeted sex workers and drug addicts believing he could evade detection. The first victim, who was left severely injured, was reportedly raped by Levy in January 2025.
According to the prosecution, Levy is accused of assaulting the first victim by throwing her to the ground, jumping on her, and strangling her while menacingly uttering threats. Subsequently, he allegedly murdered Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, aged 53, in March of the same year, followed by the killing of Sheryl Wilkins five months later.
Sheryl, aged 39, met her tragic fate in a Tottenham car park near Levy’s residence and the Premier League team’s stadium. Prosecutor Tom Little, KC, stated at the Old Bailey that the case revolves around a series of predatory sexual attacks on three highly vulnerable women earlier in 2025.
Little emphasized that the three victims shared the vulnerability of being either sex workers or individuals engaging in sexual activities for money and drugs, which, according to the prosecution, was not a coincidence but a deliberate targeting strategy by the defendant.
The prosecution further alleged that Levy’s DNA was found on Carmenza’s body, supporting the claim that he was the perpetrator of the crimes against all three women. Levy, who pleaded not guilty to the charges of murdering Sheryl and Carmenza, as well as rape and other offenses, appeared in court wearing sunglasses due to partial blindness in one eye.
The trial is ongoing while the prosecution maintains that Levy is the common denominator in the attacks on the three victims, emphasizing the sexually motivated nature of the crimes. The surviving victim of the assaults positively identified Levy in an identification parade, adding weight to the prosecution’s case.
The court proceedings continue as Levy denies the accusations against him, awaiting further deliberation and evidence presentation.
