In a park in Wales, a body believed to be of a 14-year-old girl has been discovered, prompting a murder investigation. The finding occurred in the Duffryn Park area of Blaina on Monday night. Although formal identification is pending, the body is suspected to be that of Lilly, a missing girl.

Images reveal a police cordon set up at Pilgrims Park in Blaina, Abertillery, where emergency services have been active since Monday evening.
Gwent Police had sought information regarding the missing teenager, last seen on Saturday evening in Blaina. Described as white, approximately 5ft6in tall with a medium build and long black hair, Lilly was dressed in a long black outfit and black sandals when last seen. She had connections to areas in Brynmawr, near Blaina.
Local Councillor Lisa Catherine Winnett expressed deep sorrow over the tragic outcome, calling it “unimaginable.” She extended her sympathies to Lilly’s family and urged swift action by the police in apprehending the perpetrator. The tight-knit community in Blaina has been profoundly affected by the incident, with extensive search efforts conducted by various groups.
