P&O Cruises is advising passengers to always keep an essential item handy to prevent potential delays or issues while on their journey.
According to P&O Cruises’ FAQ, guests do not need to carry cash onboard but should ensure they have their cruise card with them at all times. The cruise card serves multiple purposes beyond just making payments.
The cruise line emphasizes that all onboard spending is in British pounds and operates on a cash-free system. Guests’ cruise cards are used for all purchases and payments on board, eliminating the need for cash during the holiday.
Your cruise card will be provided outside your cabin and serves as your key for accommodation, identification for embarking and disembarking, and payment method for all onboard expenses. Simply present your cruise card for any purchases onboard.
Onboard spending money can be utilized for various activities during the cruise. P&O stands for “Peninsular and Oriental,” originating from the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, which dates back to 1840.
Your final bill will be delivered to your cabin on the last day of the cruise, with the balance charged to the payment card registered during check-in. Tipping is not required as good service is already included in your P&O Cruises experience.
