A woman creatively avoided a baggage fee at the airport by wearing all the clothes from her suitcase. Carla Brunella improvised by putting on six outfits to circumvent the charge for oversized hand luggage during her Ryanair flight from Verona, Italy, to Manchester.
Carla, 27, opted to don multiple layers of clothing after being informed that her bag did not meet the criteria for a free personal item. She humorously admitted to anticipating the situation due to excessive shopping in Verona, stating, “I just knew I didn’t want to pay an extra penny. My only option was to wear everything so I didn’t have to pay.”
Despite the discomfort of wearing six full outfits, Carla managed to save herself from the £70 fee by paying only £43 for the flight. She quickly shed the extra layers once past gate control before boarding the plane.
Carla’s unconventional approach garnered attention, with a video of her in the airport accumulating over 455,000 views. Reactions varied, with some admiring her ingenuity and others suggesting she should have paid the fee.
