A British tourist was swiftly taken to the hospital after being found unconscious in the sea at a popular holiday spot in Majorca. Lifeguards rescued the 47-year-old man in Santa Ponsa near Magaluf around noon yesterday when he suffered a cardiac arrest. Off-duty firefighters assisted in reviving him as paramedics arrived at the scene.

Medical professionals managed to stabilize the man before transferring him to Son Espases Hospital in Palma, the capital of Majorca. Sources revealed that the individual carried a British passport and was originally from Pakistan. The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 pm.

The man was spotted motionless in the water by lifeguards stationed in a watch tower on the beach. Emergency crews worked diligently on the sand for approximately 20 minutes to save his life, while police officers and paramedics were seen attending to him behind a barrier made of sun loungers.

Rescue teams then carried the man away on a stretcher as onlookers, who moments earlier had been enjoying the sunny weather, watched in shock. Two ambulances were dispatched to the beach in response to the emergency call. It remains unclear whether the man was alone or accompanied by others and the reasons behind his distress in the water.
