Emergency services swiftly responded to a flight that had to make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport this evening. The incident involved United Parcel Service (UPS) flight 207/5X207, which encountered a landing gear issue, prompting the emergency arrival on the north runway of the airport.
Following two go-arounds, the aircraft successfully landed in Dublin after encountering the problem over the Irish Sea. Originating from Louisville, the flight was originally scheduled to arrive in Dublin just before 6 p.m., but the landing gear complication caused a delay. Emergency services were on standby as the plane landed safely at 6:45 p.m., according to Dublin Live.
In light of the situation and the necessity to clear the aircraft from the runway, flight activities were redirected from the north runway. Consequently, all flights were directed to operate from the south runway, ensuring normal airport operations continued.
Dublin Airport reassured the public, stating that all flights were proceeding as usual, utilizing the south runway exclusively while the airfield operations teams managed the aircraft on the north runway. Passengers with scheduled flights for the evening were advised to proceed to the airport as planned.

Flight FR7842 departed Glasgow Prestwick Airport en route to Murcia but diverted to London Stansted Airport due to a passenger falling ill onboard.
