Having undergone six months of preventive chemotherapy, Kate announced her remission in 2025 but has gradually returned to full-time royal duties. Her last major international visit was in December 2022 to Boston with Prince William for the Earthshot Prize ceremony.

A spokesperson from Kensington Palace emphasized the importance of this visit in Kate’s recovery journey, highlighting her dedication to advocating for early childhood issues. Kate will be honored with the Primo Tricolore award at the city’s town hall, where she will engage with key figures in early childhood education.

Established in 2021, the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Years Development, founded by the Princess, is working towards forming a global alliance to support the holistic development of every child.
