Police in north London have released new video footage capturing the arrest of a suspected attacker in Golders Green. The Metropolitan Police shared the footage showing officers confronting the man believed to be responsible for a terrorist attack that left two men, identified as Shloime Rand and Moshe Shine, with serious stab wounds. The suspect, a 45-year-old British national born in Somalia, allegedly posed a threat and resisted arrest.
According to the police, officers managed to detain the suspect using their training and Tasers, despite his attempts to attack them. The incident, which occurred in Golders Green, led to a search of an address in south-east London linked to the suspect. The injured victims are currently recovering in the hospital, with the Chief Rabbi expressing prayers for their swift recovery.
The sister of one victim expressed shock but not surprise at the attack, citing ongoing antisemitic incidents in the area. She highlighted the targeted nature of the assault, emphasizing the impact on the Jewish community. The suspect’s arrest followed a confrontation with Jewish neighborhood patrolmen, including individuals who bravely intervened to subdue the attacker.
