Donald Trump’s associates disrupted a live video broadcast of his private cryptocurrency gathering.
The US President is scheduled to deliver a speech at Mar A Lago today to major investors in his “memecoin,” $TRUMP. Only the top 297 $TRUMP holders are permitted to attend the event, which has faced criticism from Democrats. Additionally, the top 29 coin holders will participate in a special reception with Trump during the conference.
To maintain confidentiality, two of the President’s aides intervened to prevent any unauthorized disclosure of his speech. A live stream, initiated by a user named “Cryptohawk,” briefly displayed the event stage before being shut down. A woman and a man in glasses approached the streamer, inquiring about the source of the unauthorized stream. Following a brief interaction, the stream was terminated.
The conference follows a significant decline of 92% in the value of $TRUMP over the past year. As reported by the Financial Times, the cost to attend the exclusive reception has dropped by over 80% compared to the previous year. The required coin holdings to gain access have decreased drastically from an average of $3,280,000 in the previous year to just $539,000 this year.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly stated, “President Trump’s assets are managed by his children, ensuring no conflicts of interest.”
Attendees at the event will receive a Trump-themed gift bag containing items such as Trump-branded fragrance, a commemorative poster, and a “Fight Fight Fight Red Beauty Watch” sold online for $499. Former boxer Mike Tyson and motivational speaker Tony Robbins are among the notable figures set to make appearances at the gathering.
