A tragic incident unfolded as a family of seven was discovered deceased after suspected abductions and killings. Law enforcement authorities have apprehended three individuals on charges of sexual assault and homicide, following reports that the family members were forcibly taken from their residence in Newark, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and later found dead in Melmoth.

The suspects, aged 21, 26, and 28, are scheduled to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court to face allegations of abduction, murder, sexual assault, and theft. The distressing episode transpired on April 21 at a residence in Newtown, Newark, where a household employee arrived to find the property burglarized and the family missing, along with a vehicle.

Upon notification, Newark police initiated an extensive search involving multiple law enforcement units and private security collaborators, leading to the discovery of the victims’ bodies. Following a break-in at the residence, the victims were reportedly bound with rope, and a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted. Subsequently, the family was transported to Melmoth, approximately 200km away, using their own vehicle.

Allegedly, the suspects demanded banking information from three victims before fatally shooting them, while the remaining family members were purportedly stabbed to death.
