Amanda Knox recently made contact with Lucy Letby, a former nurse currently serving a life sentence for the murder of seven babies. Knox, who was acquitted in the high-profile case involving the death of her roommate Meredith Kercher, reached out to Letby in prison, even sending her a copy of her book. Expressing interest in meeting or speaking with Letby, Knox and her husband are actively working on a podcast focusing on Letby’s case.

Describing her investigation into Letby’s situation as eye-opening, Knox mentioned traveling from London to Chester to conduct interviews related to the case. In addition to reaching out to Letby, she also corresponded with Letby’s parents.

During an event promoting her documentary “Mouth of the Wolf” in London, Knox discussed her involvement in the Letby case when questioned by the audience. Letby, a former neonatal nurse, was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others at a hospital in Chester.

Despite calls for a new inquiry and claims of innocence, Letby’s appeals have been unsuccessful, with the Court of Appeal dismissing her case on all grounds. Knox announced her work on an investigative podcast about Letby and encouraged listeners to explore the series, titled “Doubt: The Case of Lucy Letby.”

Expressing concerns about the portrayal of Letby in the media, Knox highlighted the impact of public perception on legal proceedings. Reflecting on her own experiences with the criminal justice system, Knox emphasized the importance of seeking truth and accountability in such cases.

This article was written at an event where Knox discussed her involvement in the Letby case and her podcast series, shedding light on the complexities and uncertainties surrounding high-profile criminal investigations.
