Iran is believed to still possess a significant portion of its ballistic missiles, launchers, and drone stockpiles following a recent intelligence analysis. The disclosure of Tehran’s remaining military assets came as Iran issued warnings that it holds strategic advantages despite ongoing tensions with references to Donald Trump’s rhetoric and concerns over potential involvement of Yemen’s Houthis.

The escalating situation has raised concerns in the region as a two-week ceasefire deadline approaches. There are fears that the Houthis could impact global trade by potentially closing the Baba el-Mandeb Strait, a critical maritime route that serves as an alternative to the blocked Hormuz passage.

Iran’s military leader, Ali Abdollahi, asserted Iran’s military superiority and criticized Trump for misrepresenting the situation on the ground, hinting at possible military actions. Meanwhile, Iranian parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized Iran’s readiness to reveal new strategies if peace talks in Pakistan materialize, rejecting negotiations under threats and hinting at further military actions.

A UK intelligence report highlighted that Iran likely maintains access to a significant portion of its missile and drone capabilities, as well as the potential threat posed by the Houthis in closing strategic waterways. The report also mentioned the possibility of US Vice President JD Vance engaging in peace talks with Iran in Pakistan, following failed negotiations earlier due to disagreements over nuclear policies and security assurances.

As preparations for talks continue, Pakistan has tightened security measures, anticipating potential disruptions. Distrust between Iran and the US has grown due to previous attacks during negotiations, with Iran voicing concerns over possible ulterior motives behind peace talks. Iran’s High Council for Human Rights has condemned US attacks on religious sites, accusing the aggressors of targeting symbols of religious minorities in Iran, including historic sites like the Tehran Jewish Synagogue and Orthodox churches.

The ongoing developments underscore the delicate diplomatic and security challenges faced by the involved parties, with uncertainties surrounding the prospects for peaceful resolutions amid escalating tensions and military posturing.
