Celebrity Big Brother bosses axed Mickey Rourke after his crude sexual remark left housemate Ella Rae Wise in floods of tears.
Shortly before being removed from the compound during Sunday’s episode, the acting legend’s vile comment was too much for Ella, who broke down and needed to be comforted. It wasn’t long before ITV announced Mickey agreed to leave after using “threatening and aggressive” language.
The incident, days after he also shocked fans when he made homophobic and fat-shaming comments, came as they took part in a pirate themed-challenge. “I have instructions for us all. We’re not allowed in the bedroom, no one is allowed to touch the crisps or sweets,” Ella informed the group. ” Mickey then told her: “I don’t like them” before Ella responded: “You’ve got to come with me!”
The film star then shocked everyone, replying to her: “Come in you?” After the awkward comment, Drag Race star Danny Bear, 32, pulled him into line, saying: “Mickey, you can’t make them jokes.” Ella then went to the diary room and said: “He’s making me feel on edge. I’m a young girl. I’m not a piece of meat. He’s making people feel so uneasy.”
Things also got very heated after he called Love Island’s Chris Hughes a “c***” after accusing him of eyeballing him. The shocking stand off saw Mickey hauled into the diary room. It wasn’t long before ITV announced the actor agreed to leave after using “threatening and aggressive” language. He also shocked fans when he made homophobic and fat-shaming comments.
On Saturday night, ITV revealed Mickey was axed from the programme with immediate effect. A spokesperson said: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”
Ahead of Sunday’s episode, it was revealed why Mickey was axed as Big Brother brought him into the Diary Room over his behaviour. “In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella,” Big Brother continued. “Oh, I’m not aware of that but okay,” Mickey said in response. Big Brother then told him: “This language has caused offence to your fellow housemates and could cause offence to the viewing public.

“This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language.” Mickey then replied: “Yes sir. I did wrong. I apologise. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing.
“‘Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry. I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.”
Big Brother then told him: “Big Brother considers your language and behaviour today to be seriously unacceptable and as a result Big Brother has no option but to ask you to leave the Big Brother house. Mickey, is there anything else you’d like to say?” He was quick to hold his hands up.
He said: “I blame myself, I know it was my bad. You know, I’ve got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there, you know. And I’m sorry for that. I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn’t chosen.”
