Love Island star Chris Hughes new favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother amid Mickey Rourke drama

Published:

Love Island star Chris Hughes has become the new favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother after he clashed with Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke in the reality show house. Iron Man 2 actor Mickey, 72, caused plenty of friction inside the house in the few days that he took part in the reality show ahead of his shock exit on Saturday.

After the Hollywood star took aim at American singer JoJo Siwa, 21, goading her over her sexuality, Chris, 32, confronted the actor to warn him he couldn’t use the inappropriate language that he had used. And then over the weekend, it was revealed that the two men clashed during a challenge – leading to Mickey’s premature exit.

An apparent joke is taken out of context in scenes set to air on Sunday night – that leads to Mickey viciously stating to Chris: “Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You c***.” He goes on to suggest “your a** will be right there in a second” while pointing at the floor – seemingly implying a threat of violence.

Mickey was called to the Diary Room and later agreed to leave the Big Brother house following the exchange. Before all this drama has even aired, however, the odds for the favourite to win the 2025 season have been updated – with Chris top of the leaderboard.

According to the Daily Mail, Coral Bookmakers’ statistics show the former Love Island star is the favourite to win with the odds of 5/4. Drag performer Danny Beard is the next most likely to win with odds of 7/2 – while singer JoJo Siwa also has odds of 7/2.

Sunday night’s highlights show – airing at the later time of 10pm – show the shocking moment tensions boil over between Mickey and Chris. Spoilers for the episode reveal that the Hollywood star’s departure came after a pirate themed task spiralled out of control.

JoJo was given the role of captain and is in charge of steering the ship. JoJo says at one point: “Ahoy. How have things been going out here?” Trisha Goddard responds: “There is a rat amongst us, Captain.”

JoJo says: “Step back in line, soldier.” It’s been announced that Chris steps out of line and looks at Mickey, and that Mickey steps out of line and confronts Chris. JoJo says: “Mickey… Ahoy.” Mickey says to Chris: “You looking at me?”

JoJo says to Mickey: “Ahoy. You’re not the captain of this ship. Ahoy. Back up soldier.” Mickey says to Chris: “Don’t eyeball me.” Chris responds: “Mickey it was a joke, f***ing …” Mickey says: “Don’t f***ing eyeball me. You c***.”

Danny Beard and JoJo both try to diffuse the situation, the spoilers reveal. Danny says: “He was joking. He was joking. He was joking.” Chris says: “F***ing stand there.” Mickey says: “What did he say?” Danny says: “He was joking.”

Danny and Daley Thompson are standing between Mickey and Chris trying to diffuse the situation. Chris says: “Mickey, it was a joke.” Big Brother says: “This is Big Brother. Mickey, come to the diary room immediately.” Mickey points to the ground and says: “No, your a** will be right there in a second.” Big Brother says again, “Mickey, come to the diary room immediately.” Mickey then heads to the Diary Room.

Mickey’s removal was announced on Saturday – with a spokesperson for the show saying last night: “[Mickey] has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”
