Anthony Joshua recently visited a funeral home to pay his respects to his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, following his release from the hospital. Joshua sustained minor injuries in a car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where unfortunately, both Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives.

After being discharged from the hospital in Lagos, the British boxer will now focus on his recovery at home in Nigeria. Prior to that, he accompanied his mother to the funeral home to pay their final respects to his departed friends.

A statement from the local government expressed condolences to the families of Ghami and Ayodele, who tragically passed away in the accident involving Anthony Joshua. The government officials extended prayers for their souls and offered support to the grieving families.

Joshua, who was in Nigeria for vacation after his victory over Jake Paul in Miami, was in a black SUV when it collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the loss of his friends. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities searching for the truck driver who illegally parked on the highway shoulder.

The driver of the SUV, who was discharged from the hospital, provided a statement to the police. Reports suggest overspeeding and a burst front tire caused the vehicle to lose control and collide with the parked truck. Authorities highlighted the excessive speed as a contributing factor in the tragic accident.
