Jake Paul has announced a special tribute to honor the late companions of Anthony Joshua at the upcoming Amanda Serrano vs. Danila Tellez event. The names of Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, who tragically passed away in a car accident in Nigeria, will be featured in the ring canvas by Most Valuable Promotions, the company owned by the former YouTuber turned boxer.

Following a contentious match with Paul, Joshua traveled to Nigeria where the fatal accident occurred. Joshua and his friends were involved in a collision on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in the loss of Ayodele and Ghami. Joshua sustained minor injuries in the crash.

In preparation for the event in Puerto Rico, Jake Paul and MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian have ensured that the names of Ayodele and Ghami are prominently displayed. Paul, who sustained a broken jaw during his fight with Joshua, expressed his condolences on social media with a post featuring praying hands.

Joshua has been discharged from the hospital and returned to the United Kingdom ahead of his friends’ funeral arrangements. While a ceremony is scheduled in London, there is uncertainty about Joshua’s attendance to avoid drawing unwanted attention.

In a twist of fate, Joshua narrowly escaped the accident by changing seats just before the journey that claimed his friends’ lives. The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and maintains his innocence, citing brake failure as the cause.

Kayode’s trial has been postponed until January 20. The circumstances surrounding the accident continue to unfold as investigations progress.
