Sky TV subscribers are in for a treat with a recent free upgrade that includes access to the Disney+ subscription service. This complimentary addition is part of the new Sky Ultimate plan, offering customers the opportunity to enjoy a variety of content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.
The enhanced package doesn’t stop at Disney+; Sky will soon introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to provide even more viewing options. Integration across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q ensures a seamless experience with Disney+ content integrated into features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control.
Additionally, Sky Cinema subscribers can look forward to a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel. For those not yet subscribed to Sky, the new Sky Ultimate package is available for all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on 26 March), full access to Hayu (available from July), and over 130 Sky channels. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the convenience of having Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu in one subscription, aiming to provide viewers with a unified viewing experience.
Existing customers will receive the expanded lineup at no extra cost, and NOW Entertainment users will have access to HBO Max within the app without additional charges. Sky’s goal with these changes is to simplify streaming and offer a more cohesive viewing experience for its audience.
