Britain’s Got Talent fans work out who Hacker is – and it’s a familiar face

Published:

Britain’s Got Talent fans were impatient and rushed to social media to make a few guesses on who they thought The Hacker could be on the recent episode. It all began on Saturday evening when a contestant, who calls themselves The Hacker, called Simon Cowell’s phone and said: “It’s time for the judge to be judged.”

The Hacker performed an incredible magic act all while sitting at the judge’s panel, leaving Simon on stage ‘performing’ all the tricks, much to the delight of viewers at home. The head judge even received his very first Golden Buzzer by the end of it after impressing the audience.

The Hacker’s act began when Simon received a phone call while sitting on the judge’s panel. He answered the call from the unknown caller and the distorted voice said: “I’m the Hacker and you and I are about to trade places,” as Simon looked around and said: “I don’t like the sound of this.”

“It’s time for the judge to be judged,” the voice said before everything went dark and the Hacker suddenly appeared on stage. The contestant then ushered Simon to get on stage as they swapped places. The Hacker sat comfortably at the panel with their legs up and spoke into the phone they used at the beginning of their act, but the voice was suddenly high-pitched.

“Right then, it says here that you’re going to do some magic for us,” the contestant said as Simon confidently replied: “Yes I am, I think.” ‘Simon’ performed a few impressive tricks before it was time for the judge’s to share their thoughts.

Amanda Holden joked Simon had ‘potential’ while The Hacker used the opportunity sitting at the judge’s panel to give himself the Golden Buzzer.

Simon was quick to tell hosts Ant and Dec: “I’ve decided to double the prize fund!”

After The Hacker’s act was done, fans rushed to social media to take a few guesses on who they think the contestant could be. Some even thought it was a famous face. Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan commented: “Anyone else think the hacker is Stephen Mulhern?”

Another was convinced it was a different magician, posting: “Up to ‘the hacker’ and it’s giving Marc Spellmann.” One user joked: “This was like a Masked Singer x BGT crossover with The Hacker having a mask and squeaky voice.”

Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
