Emergency responders were observed at Bridgewater Canal in Altrincham, Greater Manchester on Wednesday morning. Regrettably, Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the body of a woman was found in the water, as reported by Manchester Evening News. According to a statement released by the police force, officers were alerted to Atlantic Street, Altrincham just before 8:30 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, regarding a body in the water. Emergency services promptly arrived, and the body of a female was tragically recovered from the water.
