A mother is sharing her distress as her teenage son remains missing for over a week. Callum, 14, disappeared on November 29 without warm clothing, a phone, or money. His mother, Gemmalea, has been tirelessly searching woodlands, fields, and neighborhoods in the vicinity of Crawley, West Sussex.
Expressing her anguish, Gemmalea stated, “It has been a harrowing experience. I am unsure if someone is keeping him. I am clueless about his whereabouts. Sleep and food have eluded me.”
In an interview with Metro, Gemmalea revealed, “He is my only son, and a son needs his mother. The situation is heart-wrenching. I go to bed with his picture and wake up in tears.”
According to the police, Callum was last spotted in Padstow Walk near the Douster Brook in Crawley on Thursday afternoon. Described as 5’9” with short, light brown hair, he was dressed in a black hoodie, black jeans, and black sneakers.
The Crawley Police issued a statement saying, “We are aware of reports regarding Callum’s possible whereabouts circulating on local social media platforms. We urge anyone with information on Callum’s location to contact us at 101, quoting serial 1344 of 29/11.”
Describing her son as “polite and helpful,” Gemmalea mentioned his aspiration to become a marine biologist. She expressed, “Each passing minute feels like an eternity. Sleep does not come without him.”
Directing a message to Callum, his concerned mother pleaded, “Just return home; we are here to listen. We love you immensely; there is no anger, only a desire for your safety. I am your mother, forever by your side.”
She added, “Please, make contact. The fear of never seeing him again is becoming unbearable.”
