ITV has issued an update following Laura Woods’ on-air collapse before the Lionesses’ match against Ghana. The broadcaster confirmed that Woods is ‘doing okay’ after the frightening incident during the half-time break.

Viewers witnessed distressing scenes as Woods fell towards Ian Wright and Anita Asante, prompting the broadcaster to swiftly switch to commercials with Katie Shanahan stepping in as the program host.

While the wide shot continued with audio briefly, Wright could be heard checking on Woods before the commercial break started.

Upon returning to the program, Shanahan informed viewers that the Champions League host, Woods, had ‘taken ill’ but was stable and receiving care at St Mary’s. Shanahan reassured viewers, “Laura Woods fell ill at the start of the program, but we want to reassure you she is doing okay. We all send her our love.”

Woods’ fiancé, Adam Collard, provided an update earlier, confirming that Woods was in good hands. The couple recently welcomed their first child after Woods took a maternity break earlier this year.

Support poured in from fans wishing Woods a speedy recovery after the incident, with many expressing concern and sending well wishes to the presenter.

Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and over 1,400 live matches across various leagues, including the Premier League and EFL. Sky will broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League matches next season, an increase of up to 100 more games.
