A man sustained severe injuries in a daring shooting incident that occurred in a residential driveway. The alarming attack took place in the Huyton area of Liverpool on Friday evening. Reports indicate that the victim was shot twice in the leg by two individuals riding a Sur-Ron electric bike, who quickly fled the scene.

Following the shooting on Radway Road around 10:20 pm, emergency services promptly responded, and the victim was swiftly transported to a hospital. Merseyside Police confirmed that the victim’s condition remains serious but stable.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers discovered a firearm and the electric bike in the vicinity and have initiated forensic examinations on the recovered items. At present, an active cordon is established on Radway and Liverpool Road. Authorities are diligently conducting house-to-house, CCTV, and witness investigations in the area.

While a cordon surrounds the Oak Tree pub’s front car park on Liverpool Road, the police have not officially confirmed if the gun and bike were found in that specific location. However, local sources have indicated that a gun, potentially a shotgun, was recovered at the pub car park.

Local residents expressed concerns about the prevalence of weapons in the community, emphasizing the need for urgent action to address such incidents. The police presence remains visible in the area, with forensic specialists and officers actively working to gather evidence.

Detectives are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the two assailants responsible for the shooting. Detective Chief Inspector Phil Atkinson emphasized the gravity of the situation, urging witnesses to come forward with any information or footage that could assist in the investigation. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement to combat gun violence effectively.
