Man Utd fan arrested for alleged slap on Jack Grealish BANNED from Old Trafford

A man who was arrested and charged for an alleged slap on Manchester City star Jack Grealish has been banned from Old Trafford. The individual, named by police as Alfie Holt, is accused of slapping England international Grealish in the face as he left the pitch after Sunday’s Manchester derby.

Grealish is not understood to have been seriously hurt in the incident. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the arrest on Monday, less than 24 hours after the full-time whistle blew at the end of the match.

“Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court,” GMP said in a statement.

And Mirror Football understands he has now been handed a ban from Old Trafford.

On the pitch, Manchester United and rivals City played out a match light on goalmouth action. The encounter was also marred by chants about Phil Foden’s mother, with City manager Pep Guardiola addressing those comments after the game.

“The chants, to him? Lack of class. But it’s not United [the club], it’s the people,” Guardiola said. “The people is… we are so exposed. The people who are now on the screen, in the world of football, managers, owners and football players, especially.

“Honestly, I don’t understand the minds of the people being involved [chanting about] the mum of Phil, being involved in that. It’s a lack of integrity, class and they should be ashamed. But it is what it is. It happens everywhere, I would say, not just in the UK. It is what it is.”

Just one week before the derby, Grealish scored his first league goal of the season in a victory over Leicester City. He dedicated the goal to his late brother, on the anniversary of his death.

“My little brother passed away 25 years ago today,” the playmaker said.”This day is hard on the family. My mum and dad were here, so to score and to win was brilliant.”
