A wealthy Russian builder has been taken into custody following a horrific incident where a model suffered severe head injuries, leading to urgent brain surgery. Dmitry Kuzmin, 42, has been accused of causing significant harm to Anzhelika Tartanova, 33, after she attempted to end their six-month relationship due to Kuzmin’s controlling and possessive behavior. Tartanova’s relatives revealed that Kuzmin had prohibited her from seeing her 16-year-old son and sister before an alleged assault that left her on the brink of death.
Close acquaintances of Tartanova disclosed that Kuzmin would lavish her with gifts but restricted her from contacting her loved ones, treating her more like an object than a person. It is claimed that the assault occurred after Tartanova expressed her desire to break up with Kuzmin. Initially reported missing on November 28, Tartanova was eventually discovered on December 9 at a hospital in Moscow, where she spent a fortnight in intensive care and remains in critical condition.
Allegedly, Kuzmin threw Tartanova onto the street with severe head injuries before a passerby intervened, called for an ambulance, and saved her life. In the subsequent days, Kuzmin purportedly sent messages to Tartanova’s friends from her phone, falsely assuring them that she was fine. Following his arrest, Kuzmin appeared in court and is currently under investigation.
Tartanova is currently fighting for her life at Pirogov Hospital in Moscow after undergoing emergency craniotomy neurosurgery. Although conscious, she is struggling to communicate. She was found in the hospital severely beaten, swollen, and in and out of consciousness before managing to whisper her name to medical staff.
During the search for Tartanova, her diary was discovered, containing entries detailing her tumultuous relationship with a boyfriend, where she described herself as the most beautiful and sexiest woman on Earth and claimed her lover couldn’t function without her. Reportedly, Tartanova informed doctors that she was assaulted on November 23 by an acquaintance in an apartment on Universitetsky Prospekt. A multi-talented individual, Tartanova is an actress, model, and former owner of a tanning salon who relocated to Moscow following a divorce.
