Police have discovered a body believed to be that of a British man who went missing on the Costa del Sol last month. Andrew Wade, aged 65, was last seen on August 15 near Marbella, causing concern among friends who suspected something had happened to him.
National Police officers conducting the search found the body in an area called Paraiso near Estepona. The authorities, along with Civil Protection and the Estepona Fire Brigade, initiated an extensive search operation after Wade’s disappearance was reported. Investigations indicated that he was planning to return to his home country.
The search efforts included drone surveillance of the densely vegetated area, leading to the discovery of the body in the Paraiso region. Confirmation of the identity and cause of death is pending, but sources have indicated that it is likely Andrew Wade.
Reports from when Wade went missing mentioned that he had left his two cats behind, which was uncharacteristic. An acquaintance described him as a “lovely” person. Spanish charity SOS Desaparecidos has appealed for any information regarding his disappearance. At the time of his disappearance, he was believed to be driving a black Volkswagen Golf.
