A manhunt is underway following an incident where a car intentionally rammed into an FBI gate, which authorities are treating as an act of terrorism. The suspect, identified as Donald Henson from Penn Hills, allegedly crashed his vehicle into the barrier at the Pittsburgh Field building in Pennsylvania around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Henson reportedly took an American flag from his car and displayed it over the gate before fleeing the scene.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, as confirmed by the FBI. Assistant Special Agent In Charge Christopher Giordano described the event as a targeted attack on the FBI. Images captured by CBS showed a white sedan crashed into the gate, with law enforcement officers present at the scene for further investigation.
Giordano emphasized that Henson is wanted in connection with the crime and stressed that there is no evidence suggesting he is armed. The FBI disclosed that Henson had previously visited the field office to voice a complaint that was not related to federal matters. Authorities noted a message on one of the car windows and indicated that the suspect may have military background based on recent interactions with the Pittsburgh office.
Witness Nakeisha Brown recounted hearing the screeching of tires before witnessing the incident unfold. Brown mentioned that Henson retrieved a flag from his car, placed it on the fence, made verbal statements, and quickly departed from the scene. The FBI alerted a bomb squad to inspect the vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation.
