Michael Hutchence’s daughter Tiger Lily ‘secretly ties the knot with boyfriend Ben Archer’

Published:

Michael Hutchence’s daughter Tiger Lily “secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years” on Saturday, reports claim.

The singer is believed to have married Ben Archer at an intimate ceremony of just 30 guests near Hoxton, East London. The couple, who met in 2023, hired out a restaurant and invited their close family and friends, according to reports tonight. The Mirror has contacted Tiger Lily’s representatives for comment.

Tiger Lily, 28, is the daughter of the late Paula Yates, who died in 2000, and Michael Hutchence, who passed away in 1997. She was adopted by Bob Geldof after her dad’s death, later ruled by a coroner to be have been a suicide.

“Tiger Lily and Ben had a very chic, very low-key wedding on Saturday. They hired out a restaurant on Columbia Road for about 30 guests,” a source close to Tiger said. Columbia Road is a street in East London, which connects Hoxton with Hackney Road, near Cambridge Heath.

Tiger Lily has followed in her father’s footsteps, having released debut album Tragic Tiger’s Sad Meltdown in 2022. Yet, despite finding her feet in the industry, it is thought few celebs were present at the wedding, and instead family and closest friends were invited.

Speaking to The Sun, the source added: “Tiger Lily’s sisters, Pixie and Fifi, were there, as well as Bob. The guest list was very rock ’n’ roll, with Tiger Lily’s godfather, Nick Cave, invited, too. Tiger Lily and Ben are so happy together and this ceremony was just for their closest friends and family. It was a beautiful day and, after the service, they all sat down to have a meal together.”

Bob married TV presenter Paula in 1986, and together the couple had three daughters, Fifi, Pixie, 34, and Peaches before divorcing in 1996. Peaches died of a heroin overdose in 2014, after which grief-stricken Tiger wrote her poignant album Tragic Tiger’s Sad Meltdown. It wasn’t released until eight years after the tragedy.

She then met Ben one year later and, since then, the pair have reportedly been “inseparable”. According to Woman’s Day magazine, Ben’s family “adore” the singer, who was born in London in 1996.

Last year, a source told the magazine: “His family adore her and she loves that they’re so normal compared to hers… Things are getting very serious between them. Everyone’s expecting an engagement announcement any day now.”

And, though the couple never went public with any indication they were officially engaged, they have reportedly tied the knot already. However, Tiger Lily made her feelings clear when she declared “I love you” in an affectionate birthday post Ben made for her on Instagram in July last year.
